How We Met
Jay and I met in a college math class in 2015. He caught my eye right away, so I planned to sit by him one day. He walked into the classroom and spotted me near his seat, and he immediately headed for the back of the room. I was so embarrassed realizing that he wasn’t into me at all.. but it turns out, he’s just a super shy guy. Some weeks later I got a friend request from him on Facebook. We started messaging randomly one day and eventually hung out to study. We both agreed that we weren’t interested in being in a relationship, but just enjoyed each other’s company. But God had other plans in that department. As much as I didn’t want to be in a relationship, I couldn’t help but fall in love with this guy every single day I was around him, and a few months later, we started dating.
How They Asked
Fast forward 3 years.. he took me to Pebble Beach on Yampa River before Friday date night to watch the sunset. At the perfect moment, he got on one knee. After I said yes, our families came rushing out of the bushes and threw us a big BBQ with friends. He even had a photographer hiding… I really won this one! It was a day I will never forget!
