How We Met
I met my future wife on Southwest flight 955 to Atlanta in February of 2018. I noticed her as we were lining up to board the flight. I remember thinking to myself that this was the prettiest girl I had ever seen in my life. The plane was full when I boarded, and it just so happened that, of all the seats on the plane, I ended up seated right next to her. We hit it off before the plane even started moving.
How They Asked
Freediving is one of my favorite hobbies. I took Soila with me for a diving trip – just the two of us. We tied up to a mooring buoy offshore from The Breakers at Palm Beach and jumped in the water.
We were in at about 25-30 ft. depth swimming with schools of fish. This was Soila’s first freediving experience, and I planned to make it one she would never forget. As we were preparing to leave, I took one last dive, and when I came up, I had a ring in my hand. Long story short, she said yes.
