Belinda and Joemar

How We Met

Joemar and I met at Gainesville State, which was a local community college. My friend and I were in the gym and asked me if I wanted to go swimming at the indoor pool. As we walked in, Joemar had his back facing me and when he turned around I thought he is the most handsome man ever. Of course I played hard to get for a couple of months but to my surprise he did not give up! On Monday, December 18th 2017 we celebrated our 6 year anniversary of being together. I thank God everyday for an amazing man I have in my life.

how they asked

Joemar and I decided to spend a Sunday at Tribble Mill Park to photograph a couple of pictures of us with Ares, have a picnic, and drink a couple of mimosas. Mariel, his sister, came along as our photographer and capture “nature pictures” along the way. As we sat on the bench, Joemar pulls a book from underneath, which I did not have a CLUE where it came from and handed it to me. I thought the book was the most adorable thing I’ve ever seen! The book is called “Book of Firsts. Story of Us”. As I am reading through the book, Joemar crafted together the most memorable pictures and moments in our lives starting all the way back in 2011!

Engagement Proposal Ideas in Tribble Mill Park

As I kept reading, a proposal was not thought of AT ALL until I got to the last page. When I was reading the second to the last page, I screamed in my mind “Oh. My. God.” Before I could catch my breath to read the last page, Joemar got down on one knee and asked “Belinda Pham, will you marry me?” After he asked, I completely lost it! Do you all want to hear what my answer was? It’s classic. As he asked me to marry him, I was in a state of complete and utter shock and snot running down my nose that I said “NO WAY!” Oh my gosh!

After my response, Joemar said “Okay, I’ll take the crying as a yes.” Joemar and I continue to laugh about that moment and that this story will never be forgotten. The best proposal EVER!
