How We Met
We met on Tinder! I drunkenly swiped because he had tattoos and said he was a hopeless romantic, he swiped because I like naps and waffle fries. We chatted constantly for a month or so until I agreed with him picking me up and taking me to his place to cook dinner. Not smart and safe decisions with a stranger, but I just had a feeling. On our third date, we had a Christmas Eve sleepover because neither of us had plans for the holiday. We spent all of Christmas Day together in pajamas doing puzzles and watching movies. We didn’t spend a day apart after that.
How They Asked
We were walking up the Las Vegas Strip and stopped at a fountain outside Caesar’s Palace and I dug out two pennies and made him make a wish. I wished I could marry this man. We wandered a bit and then got ready for our fancy dinner of the vacation.
We sat down for a dinner planned out by the chef, his brother. I couldn’t wait for the second course, smoked oysters, and loved it when Chef brought it a plate with smoke under a clear cover. As he got closer to the table, my boyfriend stood up to help him with the presentation, which didn’t strike me as weird until he got down on one knee.
I teared up immediately and although a hundred people were watching and clapping, I couldn’t see or hear a thing around us, until he opened the ring box.
