How We Met
My amazing now fiancé & I met just over 6 years ago at my workplace, we work for different companies & had different rosters. Our first date was the longest first date we’ve both ever been on 3 hours! Lunch, a coffee & a long walk. We moved in together after 2.5 years in a rental then, purchased our first home May this year have our beautiful puppy Oscar & are currently halfway through our pregnancy with our little girl. We’ve traveled around the world & around our home country Australia.
How They Asked
We arrived in Petra, Jordan walked through the ruins which at the time was very cold & windy. Explored for around 1.5 hours then, as we were staying at a resort that night we decided we would start early the next day & complete the whole ruins trail. Again the next day was very cold & windy. The whole hike took around 2.5 hours with lots of steps towards the end with elevation also! Myself being 18 weeks pregnant at the time was getting very tired towards the end & almost gave up. My partner was very supportive & once we got to the end of the trail stood the beautiful Monastery we sat in a little cave overlooking this & this is when my fiancé asked me to marry him. We’ll never forget Petra.
