How We Met
It’s a Delta love story! My new fiancé (or as I like to call my Feyonce) and I met last July. I was on my A Days (unassigned work days where you are on call) and randomly got assigned to a 3 day trip; first layover in JFK, second layover in LAS. I was pretty dang excited; I was on my way to Vegas! Little did I know this dapper guy, Warren Caleb, would steal my heart. He was super handsome, but I figured he was either into men (sorry babe) or a tool (sorry again!) since he was a male flight attendant. As the trip started, our crew started to get to know each other and this guy was proving me wrong. He was a complete goof and had me laughing at his not-so-funny jokes. As we rolled over into the next morning (red eye struggle) I had an entirely new perspective of this guy. He was the happiest, most positive, and goofy guy I had ever met. I knew I was in trouble. We slept all day in JFK but I could hardly wait to get to Vegas to spend more time with him. We got to Vegas and our other crew members decided to call it an early night. As for Warren and I, well we headed down to the bar at the Westin. After a few or so drinks we decided to take a stroll down the strip, which led us in front of the Eiffel tower, where we shared our first kiss! And the rest is history!! I’m so blessed to have this man in my life and so thankful for Delta, who brought us together! #longlivedelta #deltalovestory #widget #delta #fieldsswag #wanderlusttwins
how they asked
April 13, 2016: A Day to remember!
Caleb and I set out for the Caribbean to celebrate this guy’s 25th birthday! Little did I know he had a big surprise up his sleeve. We were aboard the mighty Norwegian Dawn headed to Cozumel, Roatan, Belize City, and Costa Maya. Our first stop was in Cozumel, Mexico. We hadn’t planned an excursion for that day so we found ourselves at a private beach equipped with snorkeling, wave runners, and water floaties. Warren was acting strange; he was extremely protective over our backpack that had towels and water in it and he seemed so distracted that it gave me the impression he was having a terrible time. But what I didn’t know was that he was carrying the bling bling in the backpack and was looking for the “right” spot to pop the question. April 12 came and went, back to the cruise ship we went, unengaged (Caleb was a nervous wreck!).
April 13: The cruise ship docked in Roatan, Honduras bright and early. Again, we hadn’t planned an excursion for that day so we headed towards the beach again to add to our sun burns. A few hours after we arrived at the beach Caleb suggested we go for a walk. So we headed towards the ocean to take a stroll. I jump into the water and start playfully splashing him. He busted out his GoPro on the insanely long selfie stick and said, “Come here!”. So I splash my way over to where he was standing in the water when all the sudden he gets down on one knee and says those magical words.
At first, I thought it was a joke because he is the biggest prankster I have ever met, until he revealed a beautiful ring from his fist. Shocked and excited, I said YES! It was the most perfect proposal for two travel-nuts.
