How we met: Daniel and I met hiking in Torrey Pines, San Diego. I always knew there would be truth to meeting someone somewhere, doing something you love. Half way through the hike I headed in the opposite direction, to find the nearest restroom. Construction was going on and I had to take somewhat of a detour. Low and behold, there was Daniel. Headed back up the path with him and started chatting away. That was a busy time in my life and changes were about to happen that week. New job, moving, and my 24th birthday were all in that upcoming week. I gave him my number anyway and that’s how it all started. My first boyfriend, love, and now fiancé. Everyday he continues to prove he has all the qualities that are important to me. Waiting until I found “the one” was worth it all.
how they asked: Daniel proposed to me on the 4th of July in La Jolla, CA (San Diego). He asked me to ask a couple walking by along the beach to take a picture of is. After asking the couple to take one because “I can’t master the selfie”, one photo was taken. Daniel then asked the couple to take one more. I felt him leave my side and looked down and he was on one knee. Beach shore proposal San Diego style. Happiest day ever! Best friend and first love for me. As a kid, I loved the number 13. Confirmed my love for it when 2013 became the best year ever for me.
