Bama and Tino

We both attended LaGrange College together in 2013. We did not meet until April 2014, when mutual friends decided to go play beach volleyball one afternoon. After playing for hours and talking to Tino, we both realized that we have been in the same English class that entire semester and only sat a few seats away from each other. After that day, we were basically inseparable. We did not make anything officially between us until October 17, 2014 when he took me to our favorite spot on campus, a swing by a fountain, and asked me to be his girlfriend. It did not take long until everyone of our friends already declared us married so of course that subject came up a lot in our conversations but we never minded, it was our favorite thing to talk about! Fast forward a few years and it was our college graduation day: May 20th, 2017. It started off with the normal nervousness about not tripping on the stage or making sure we knew where to meet up afterwards to get pictures with our families. Once the ceremony was over, Tino came over and we said our congratulations to each other but he said he wanted to go to one other place on campus other than the quad to take a picture with me. “The sand volleyball court” he said. In my mind, I was so confused as to why, but after a lot of convincing we went. After arriving, I noticed so many of my sorority sisters and his fraternity brothers and other mutual friends were already there along with our families as well. They took some normal group pictures then back to me and Tino taking pictures together. Then my sorority little brought over a volleyball of all things to take a picture with. After taking some strange pictures with it, I noticed there was a tear in it. Tino told me to open it, and inside the volleyball was the ring box. He got down on one knee and asked me to be his forever and my response was not your typical “Yes” but “Finally!”. I was so excited because I have been waiting for a chance to say we are planning our forever. June 9th, 2018 cannot get here fast enough!
