How We Met
We met in college (Roll Tide)!

The night before we had camped out at one of my favorite spots along the river in Taos, NM. That morning we woke up to the most beautiful sunrise, packed our bags and headed up the mountain in order to beat the storm coming that afternoon. After the first mile of the hike we came my favorite mountain lake (Lake Williams) where I always go snowshoeing in the winter which is another reason why this mountain has a special place in my heart.
A couple hours later we made it to the summit of Wheeler Peak! We were in a cloud and the wind was blowing really hard so we picked a spot on the other side of the ridge to grab a bite to eat.
Next thing I know Randall is telling me how much he loves me, gets down on one knee, and pops the questions. YES!
Side note: I was very surprised, I didn’t think he would bring a ring all the way up there. He even dropped his pack upside down in a puddle along the way … my thoughts were definitely no ring in there today haha!
The sky cleared and rainbow appeared right behind me! I promise! I truly am the luckiest girl in the world to be engaged on top of my favorite mountain to my best friend!
After heading down the trail we were greeted with a big bottle of champagne at the Bavarian (a swedish lodge) to celebrate :)
