How We Met
The first moment I saw my future wife was when I walked into class on my first day of second grade. I took my seat and was awestruck by the girl sitting across from me. For years we were only friends, sharing classes and memories until I finally worked up the courage to ask her to the movies at the start of eighth grade. We spent high school by each other’s side and drove thousands of miles to see each other during college. After graduating last spring we finally get to spend our lives together.
How They Asked
We spent the day exploring Nashville, going from the Jack Daniels Distillery to the Grand Ole Opry, and finally to the East Ivy Mansion where we took a “tour.” I walked her through the gardens of the mansion and at the end of a lantern-lit path was a small alcove decorated with candles, flowers, and champagne. It was there that I took her by the hand, got down on one knee, and told her that I wanted to spend every day of the rest of my life with her.
