How We Met
Austin and I met 5 years ago through a friend. We met briefly and I thought he was SO handsome and sweet, then three months later he asked me on a date! We’ve been together ever since.
How They Asked
Austin proposed to me on Christmas Eve. Every year we have Christmas Eve dinner at his Mom’s with his family and close friends. This year, instead of pulling up to his Mom’s house, he kept driving and pulled up to this clubhouse on top of a hill. He said she had rented it to have appetizers at before dinner, but I thought it was odd that it was the first I’d heard of this plan! We got there, had some Dom Perignon with his family, then he pulled me over to the Christmas tree, got on one knee, and asked me to marry him.
He and his mom had kept it a secret from everyone so the whole family was in shock! It was so memorable and so filled with love. His godmother, who has photographed all of his major life moments (graduations, birthdays, etc.) took all our photos for us, making it even more special. Oh, and of course our dog (Pierre) who is an extremely big part of our lives, was there too and crashed some of the proposal photos as well ;). We are so happy we got to share the moment with so many people and pets that we love.
