How We Met
Sam and I met at Macdintons Irish Pub at Dollar Beers night. I thought he was interested in my sorority sister and told a mutual friend she wouldn’t be interested. When he returned and began talking to me I thought what clever guy to talk to her friend to get to her. By the end of the night he asked me for my number and I still had no idea. Until, the next day when our mutual friend texted me to say he was interested in me the whole time. See that sorority sister I thought he was interested in happens to have the same name I do. Silly me. Two and a half years later and now we’re engaged. So thank you Macdintons for helping me find the love of my life.
how they asked
Sam had family visiting so we went to an nice dinner at one of our favorite local restaurants, Ulele. His mom asked to take photos of us on the dock at sunset so we did. When I walked down the dock and turned around he was on one knee.
I was crying like a mess (obviously) and couldn’t stop saying “OMG are you serious?”
He hugged me and I heard a cheering crowd and he pointed to the right of the top of the dock.
Standing there was all of my friends and family who traveled thousands of miles to celebrate our proposal.
He had hired a secret photographer, booked everything with the restaurant, and asked my parents and grandparents for permission which is something not too many gentlemen do these days. Celebrating for the rest of the night with family I hadn’t seen in months was magical. It was simply perfect.
