How We Met
I was browsing through my Plenty of Fish app and by chance I saw this absolutely stunning young woman who was a single mom of an adorable 4 year old boy. While browsing her profile it had a link to her Instagram account. In her Instagram bio it said “97 lbs of sass and cheese fries.” I decided to send her a DM asking her to lunch and “cheesy fries.” To my surprise, she replied and I picked her up for lunch a few days later. We spoke on the phone a few times prior to meeting face to face and I had already begun to fall for her. When we finally met for lunch I knew that this was someone special and that I could see a future in her.
how they asked
For Christmas, Ashley surprised me with a trip to New York in March for me to meet her extended family and see the city. I had never been to New York and it seemed like the perfect opportunity to “pop the question.” About a month before the trip I told her family about my plans and to get permission from her Father and Stepfather. Also during this time I decided to get my step-son Jax involved and set up a photoshoot with Logan Roquemore in Central Park while we were in the city. I told Ashley that this photoshoot was for our 2 year anniversary and family pictures. While we were in Central Park at Bow Bridge I took the opportunity to ask Ashley to be my wife. Meanwhile, Jax was wearing a shirt that said “Mommy, Please Say Yes.”
