How We Met
We met through a mutual friend (Kevin) who thinks he’s cupid and prides himself on successfully setting up couples. Well boy, he was certainly right when it came to Dean and I. I couldn’t have asked for a better partner in life. We have been in a relationship for 7 years now and share such a special bond and love. He’s my best friend in the whole world!
how they asked
I always wanted to go to the Rockhouse Hotel in Negril so when a friend of mine went with her husband, I had sent Dean pictures and said “Take me there!!” (Even from before I insisted that he take me there, Dean always had plans of proposing at Rockhouse) So maybe a year later, for his close friend’s (Kevin) birthday weekend we were finally heading to Negril. The previous week Dean gave me specific instructions for the weekend – do your nails (my nails are never done, very low maintenance girl lol), get your hair done, get a nice beach dress. I definitely figured something was up and the for that entire week I was so nervous because I knew the proposal was coming. We got to the hotel Friday night and planned to wake up early Saturday morning for sunrise. So we woke up at 5am, got ready and went on the famous bridge to just take in the beautiful view. As we went on the bridge, I spotted Kevin with a big professional camera in his hand and I knew this was THE moment! He got down on one knee, popped out a RING POP and asked me to spend the rest of my life with him. He was afraid that I would have been clumsy and throw the real ring into the water so I didn’t get it until we came off the bridge LOL. It was the sweetest, most thought out and heart warming thing he could have ever done for me. And it didn’t end there! We drove back to Kingston Sunday morning because he told me we had a wine tasting to go to. He took me to a place called Cellar8 where he got all our close family and friends together on the loft for a surprise engagement party. It meant so much to me to celebrate with our loved ones! The entire was absolutely PERFECT!!!!!!!!!!!!
