How We Met

We met in high school. We used to ride on the same bus to get to school. As Rod remembers it he first saw me on the bus. I (Ariel) remember meeting him first through a mutual friend at school and then we would speak while on bus rides to school. We were friends for a couple of months first and then Rod asked me out on a date. We were inseparable since that moment 22 years ago.

How They Asked

The proposal was beautiful. Rod took me to dinner at Crustaceans in Beverly Hills. I had always wanted to go there. We had a wonderful dinner. He told me all the reasons why he loved me and talked about our relationship and everything he loved about it. I thought we might be getting engaged but he didn’t do it in the restaurant, so I was slightly confused, but just let it go. As we walked out of the restaurant, he got down on one knee and continued to tell me how much he loved me and asked me to marry him. It was definitely a surprise. People walking by congratulated us! It was beautiful and romantic!
