How We Met
Scott and I met while working at the Union Oyster House, which is America’s oldest restaurant! Scott was an oyster shucker and I was a server. We quickly because best friends, working together and dating. We have worked at several restaurants together now and hope to someday own our own. We are the true definition of partners! We live and work together, as a great team but most importantly, best friends.
How They Asked
Scott surprised me on my girl’s weekend trip in Provincetown. We had our first getaway as a couple to Provincetown a few years earlier, when Scott was in a famous oyster shucking competition at Wellfleet Oysterfest. He proposed at the old town theater by the water. My ring has seven diamonds in it and a pink ring box designed just for me, with 777 inscribed on the top. My grandfather’s badge number was 777 when he was a police officer and Scott knows how special that number is to me and my family. I get to wear a ring with such a special connection to my grandfather forever! After the engagement, we went to Truro Wine Vineyards where a couple more of my friends surprised us. Finishing the night, we stayed in the same hotel from our original trip! It was magical!
