How We Met
Christian and I first met our junior year in highschool. The first time Christian saw me in class he told his best friend that he was going to date me! I, on the other hand, was stubborn and played hard to get for a while. But Christian continued to show me how much of a gentleman he is and persuade me to give him a chance at dating. Several months later his predictions came true. We started dating April 27, 2013, the best decision of my life, and the rest has been history. We graduated highschool and went on to college at a local college. I graduated nursing school this past May and he will graduate in December majoring in construction management. Life with Christian has been nothing short of amazing. He is truly a man who has a kind heart, loves God and his family and he is the hardest worker I know. We plan to get married April 28th, 2019, on the weekend of our 6 year dating anniversary.

Several months ago, Christian came to me and told me that for my birthday and Christmas present at the end of the year he was planning on taking me on a surprise trip! Instead of fancy gifts, Christian knows that I love trips together and spending quality time with him. He told me the dates to ask off-work but did not tell me where we were going for a while. On December 12th, my birthday, Christian revealed to me that we were going on a cruise to the Bahamas! Neither of us had been to the Bahamas or even on a cruise before, so we were both so excited. A few weeks later we packed our bags and headed off to Florida, where we loaded on the Cruise ship and took off into the deep blue sea! We were both so excited and explored the ship the first night, which also happened to be new years eve. We stayed up and brought in the new years in the middle of the ocean. It was truly once in a lifetime experience!
The next morning, 1-1-18, the cruise ship landed in Freeport, Bahamas. We got ready for the day and adventured off the boat. Our whole relationship I have always loved taking pictures together, and as another birthday present, Christian booked a photoshoot of us together on the cruise ship at sunset later that evening, so we knew we would have to get back on the boat before then! Freeport was fun, we road a Jet-ski in the crystal blue ocean, and then we had couple massages on the beach! Later that evening we got ready for what I thought was going to just be a casual photo shoot in the Bahamas, but little did I know that I was going to leave the photoshoot as an engaged lady! The shoot started out great, we did a few poses at first, and then went to the upper deck in front of where the sun was setting. Up there, we took some more pictures and then started to talk to each other. Standing there on the huge cruise ship in the middle of the Bahama waters, Christian looked at me and told me that he had been hiding and planning something from me for a while.
It was then that he dropped down to one knee, pulled out the most gorgeous ring I have ever seen, and asked me to marry him and spend forever together. Surprised and so excited, I, of course, said YES! Tears in both of our eyes, and shaking, Christian placed the beautiful ring on my finger and we sealed it with a kiss. I could not stop smiling and shaking! I dreamed of this day for so long and the fact that it happened was the best feeling in the world. We were in one of the prettiest places in the world, and the love of my life asked me to be his forever. I COULD NOT STOP SMILING. The best day ever. Knowing that I get to spend forever with my best friend, is such an amazing feeling. A huge thank you to Christian for all of the planning he did and the time he took planning the best engagement.
