How We Met
Zach and I met my sophomore year of college (2010). His best friend was dating my college roommate. Naturally, we became very good friends, as our friend group was constantly hanging out.
Before we knew it, most of our days were spent together and I knew he was something special. His strong personality and hilarious humor captured my full attention. We started dating in 2011 and have been in love ever since!

On Christmas morning, I woke up to a package from my boyfriend of 6 years that said “Merry Christmas! Love, Zach”. Inside the package were six individually wrapped letters with details about a surprise trip to ITALY that he had planned. On New Year’s Eve, we departed for Rome.
The next few days were filled with sight seeing, amazing food and even better wine. During our last day in Rome, he insisted that we go to Villa Borghese to watch the sunset. This park has a famous hill that overlooks the entire city.
As we stood there watching the sunset, a woman approached us and asked to take our pictures. He was overly excited, which shocked me because he isn’t one for the camera. As she pulled out her camera and began to photograph us, he got down on one knee and asked me to spend my life with him.
I couldn’t believe it!! He had planned the photographer and everything!!! I said ‘YES’ as tears of joy filled my eyes. Afterwards, we spent the next hour taking engagement photos all over the park. This was a fairy tale proposal and I can’t wait to spend my life with this man!
