How we met: Andrew got his orders to Columbus Air Force Base and thought to himself, Mississippi? There can’t be anything good in MISSISSIPPI! At this time Rebecca was finishing up her final year at Mississippi University for Women, a small predominately women’s college. (Whoever would have thought to put an air force base nearby, hmmm?)
Shortly after Andrew’s arrival on base he and a few friends decided to go to a place downtown for dinner, the same place Rebecca & a friend were having a drink. As Rebecca and her friend walked in to take their seats at the bar, Andrew caught Rebecca’s eye and they shared a quick smile. Andrew sent Rebecca a drink along with a note asking her on a date. Andrew recalls telling himself “She will be mine”. And in the end she was.
The Proposal: We decided to celebrate Christmas Eve at Disneyland this year. That morning was just like any other as we got up early, stopped to get a breakfast and headed to Disneyland. Upon our arrival the parking attendant alerted us that there would be no fireworks that afternoon, due to high winds. Andrew was so upset and all I could think was “Wow he must really love fireworks”. Little did I know that this was the “big moment” Andrew had planned for and now there was a kink in his plan.
After a fun day and many churros we headed over to California Adventure to wind down and relax with a glass of wine as we watched “World of Color”. Finally, we headed to Disneyland for our dinner reservation at the Blue Bayou. On our way to the restaurant Andrew talked me into taking the long way walking through the castle. After wondering “How, when and where”, all day after his plan seemed to be ruined, tt was then that Andrew popped the question. Afterwards we celebrated our engagement with dinner at the Blue Bayou where Andrew had arranged a few surprises for me!

The engagement shoot started at the 94th Aero Squadron Restaurant, and ended beautifully at the Van Nuys Airport!
