We first met 12 years ago at a party. I saw Amber and immediately wanted to get to know her. After speaking at the party I remember saying to my friends “See that girl, she is going to be my next girlfriend”. Then 11 and half years later we’re engaged….

How They Asked

I planned for over a year to propose in the Amalfi coast, researching everything from where to propose to hotels and restaurants we would visit on our trip. In January I arranged the trip for May this year and was going to purchase the ring in March. Unfortunately, Covid put a stop to our plans and we had to postpone the trip, after careful consideration we decided to rebook for September. I wanted to propose at the beginning of the trip so that we could enjoy our engagement and holiday. I told Amber we were having a private wine tasting tour so it was a complete surprise. I arranged with Andrea Gallucci (Photographer) to meet us in an intimate garden setting in the Monastero Santa Rosa Hotel. With Andrea’s help I arranged for a violinist to play a song close to our hearts as we walked into the garden. I then got down on one knee and proposed. After calling our family and friends we then went on a boat trip from Amalfi to Positano. It was such a magical day and one we will remember for the rest of our lives.
