Amylou and Ryan
How We Met
We coined the phrase “Forever at the Loeb”, on our first trip to the USA and we’ve been saying it ever since. It’s a phrase of reminiscence to our favorite/happiest place in the world. It’s our last words of every day before we say goodnight and a pick-me-up when we’re feeling blue. Although there are ~8.623 million people that call New York City home, when we say those four little words, in an instant, it’s just you, me and the boathouse! Two years later, we returned and on one knee he asked me to marry him and gave me a ring that literally ensures our “forever at the Loeb” Of course, I cried & said YES a million times over.
How They Asked
On the rocks, to the side of the boathouse, we went to recreate a photo we’d snapped two years earlier. Ryan set up the camera on self-timer, however little did I know he was actually filming the whole thing. He dropped to one knee and said “Will you marry me?”, I squealed ‘yes- forever at the Loeb”.
