How We Met
We met in 2008 working together at Park Plaza Gardens in Winter Park, Florida. Matt was a food runner and I was hired as a server. We quickly became friendly and stayed good friends for years, but didn’t start dating until 2012.
How They Asked
We took a trip out to Oregon for my birthday with another couple. We stayed in downtown Portland for 2 nights and on my birthday we went winery hopping on our way to our final destination, Willamette Valley Vineyards. After such a beautiful and fun day we were back at our winery suite watching the sunset and that’s when he popped the question! He asked me if I wanted my birthday present, I said “I thought this trip was my birthday present?” He then reached into his pocket and got on his knee and asked :)
