how we met
I met Shaun through two of our close mutual friends, Mark and Ashley. We starting talking to each other through text one night when I was out of town at a Flyers hockey game in Philly with our friends and he had just returned home from a life-saving kidney surgery where he was the donor. Ashley had confirmed to me that he was single and from that night on, there hasn’t been a day that went by where we didn’t speak!
how they asked
Our proposal was a total surprise to me! We were in New York City seeing one of my favorite shows, “Avenue Q” on Broadway, and at the end of the show Shaun asked me if I wanted my picture taken on stage. As I turned around to smile for the camera, there he was on one knee with an open ring box…I think I still have the picture he snapped right before I realized what was going on! Of course I said yes, but we had to wait until we got home and he asked for my dad’s permission before it was legitimate.
