How We Met: On the morning of April 22, 2013, we arrived at UPS Headquarters for what was supposed to be a day of training in New Hire Orientation, but turned out to be the day that changed our lives forever. We met in the workshop and exchanged small conversation, then Sam went out on a limb, used a pickup line (that actually worked!), and I was instantly smitten with him. We began spending quite some time together outside of work, and on May 18th, he kissed me for the first time. From there, a strong relationship grew into the enduring love we share today. We are thrilled to continue this journey and can’t wait to be The Abbotts! :)
how they asked: I thought that Sam and I were meeting photographers at Sweetwater Creek State Park to take Fall pictures so that we could have “cute couple photos”. Little did I know, Sam had been planning this moment for quite some time. We stood on a bridge with our backs to one another because “it would make a great picture”. When Sam spun me around, I saw him on one knee, and the rest was a blur. All I can remember is that I said “YES!”
