How We Met: We met in December 2011 doing a community theatre production of The Wedding Singer. From the first time we met, I knew something about him was so special. We got along so well and he was so funny and sweet.
As time went on during the show, we got closer and closer, but I didn’t know he actually liked me until February, 2012. Ever since then, we’ve been inseparable. He’s my best friend and I couldn’t imagine doing anything without him.
how they asked: I love Disney World, so much. I’ve always wanted to get engaged there and George always told me he thought it was “tacky” and “not personal”. I resigned to the fact that it wasn’t happening in Disney, and was so excited nonetheless to get engaged to the man of my dreams. I am the type of person who hates surprises, so I was given monthly clues about my engagement.
I thought I was so smart, piecing them together to think I was getting engaged after a whole day activities in the city. I couldn’t have been more wrong. We had a trip to Disney World planned in June with our two best friends. We were so excited, and planned it for about 9 months. Little did I know, my now fiancé and my best friends had arranged for my parents and his parents to surprise me in Disney World.
We got to Magic Kingdom on Saturday and went right to the castle to take pictures when we still looked nice, as per my best friend’s suggestion. As we got there, George and I took the first picture. As the cameras were rolling, he turned and asked “How much do you love me?”
As “A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes” played in the background, I saw my brother and sister come out behind the bushes and instantly started crying. I said yes before he even asked. Both families came out and I couldn’t even contain myself. I have truly found my Prince Charming!
