How We Met
So Vincent and I met in high school when he was 18 and I was 17. We started dating after 2 weeks of talking and immediately fell for each other. Ever since I had seen him at school, I had a major crush on him. Never in a million years did I think we would even become friends since he was on the football team and every girl had a crush on him. But here we are!
How They Asked
After 4 years of dating, he decided to propose to me in Fraser, Colorado on my 22nd birthday. The way he planned everything was so beautiful. He wanted to propose on top of a snowy mountain with a beautiful view. As I was getting ready to sled, he said: “let’s take a picture with the beautiful view!” And of course, I said yes. Our best friends started taking “photos” (videos) of us. Vincent looked at me and said “Give me a kiss baby. I Love You” he got down on one knee and said the magical words I’ve always wanted to hear from him “Alyssa Marie Mendez, Will You Marry Me?”
I immediately started balling my eyes out and covered my face so my tears wouldn’t freeze. I said Yes of course and immediately called our parents. The way he proposed exceeded what I imagined and am so thankful and grateful for him. He is the best thing that has ever happened to me and I’m truly blessed to now be able to call him my Fiancé.
