How We Met
Bryce and I met in 4th grade when I was a cheerleader and he was a football player for our elementary school. We went to junior high together and he was actually my first “boyfriend” (if you can even call it that!) That didn’t last, but we stayed friends into high school and started dating again the summer before our Senior year. We decided to both go to Texas A&M University for college where our relationship went through some ups and downs but ultimately molded us into the couple we are today.
How They Asked
I had been anticipated Bryce to propose for a while, but our Saturday night plans included going to his 6-year-old niece’s birthday party so I DEFINITELY was not expecting it! He picked me up from my house and we started driving to the “birthday party” when we took a weird exit off the highway. We drove for about 5 minutes through some neighborhoods when we pulled up to a nature preserve. I saw my best friend/photographer’s car and immediately lost it because that’s when I knew what was happening. We walked down a path together to where he had set up a beautiful bench that he made HIMSELF with flowers.
He had put together a photo album of pictures of us from the very beginning of our relationship and we reminisced on the wonderful times we’ve had together. He then got down on one knee and asked me to be his wife! I was truly surprised (which is difficult to pull off) and felt so loved!
