How We Met
I started working at a small movie theater in 2012. There was this employee named Alex that I thought was really cute! I might have had a little crush. But he teased me about everything from day one. I had worked there for about a year and a half and he still teased me every time he saw me. He especiallyteased me about the fact that I never watched action movies because they were too intense. So when I watched the amazing Spider-Man 2 I had to tell him that I watched an intense movie. But he still couldn’t believe I hadn’t seen Captain America Winter Soldier so he told me that we were going to watch it the next morning. Neither of us really wanted to because it was so weird. But I came the next morning and we ended up being the only two in the theater. So we awkwardly watched the movie and being the only ones talked about it too. By the end we were actually kind of having fun. The movie ended and we both left. When I got home I texted him and we ended up texting all day! By the next weekend we had a date planned. It was the most fun either of us had on a date and we’ve been inseparable ever since.
how they asked
We had been dating for a year and 5 months when he proposed. I went with him to his Grandpa’s work party at the LDS Conference Center in Salt Lake. I was just excited to be able to go on the stage. I didn’t think anything of it, until his grandma pulled me aside and told me they wanted to take a picture of the stage. My heart started pounding a little but I told myself that it wasn’t going to do it. So I kept following his family and seeing all the activities. When Elsa came on the stage I was so excited I barely noticed that I was being pulled to the stage. When we got up there we started to pose for a picture up by some of the pretty Christmas flowers, but before I knew it he was on one knee! He pulled out the most beautiful ring I’ve ever seen and asked me to marry him! I was so surprised and excited I forgot to say yes until I noticed everyone looking at me. Of course I said yes!
