How We Met
I was about to graduate from Texas A&M (Gig’em Ags!) and excited to spend my last spring break with best friends on a Carribean cruise. Meanwhile, in Norman, Casey and his friends at the University of Oklahoma had the same idea. So our long awaited spring break trip was finally here, and we were at dinner when I noticed him at the next table. Later that night, we were having fun at the piano bar and a few guys pulled chairs up to ours. My heart literally skipped a beat when the cute man from dinner sat next to me and introduced himself as Casey. Not only did we hit it off but our friends did too. It was the best week and the beginning of a very happy life with my soulmate!
How They Asked
To say I was surprised would be an understatement! Casey and I were on a tour of OU’s Gaylord Memorial Stadium. We were taken by the football facilities, suites, press box, and then the field itself! I felt Casey grab hold of my hand as we walked to the fifty-yard line. I still didn’t expect a thing. Then Sweet Thing by Van Morrison began to play over the stadium speakers and there were pictures of us on the big screen. That’s when Casey got down on one knee and asked me to be his wife!
