How We Met
Dwight and I met 5 1/2 years ago when we were set up on a double date my junior year of high school. He wouldn’t date me because of who my older brother was (of course he was very protective of me) but that didn’t last long! I got the courage to ask him to my high school prom my junior year and the rest is history! :)

It was just a normal Wednesday night, I happened to have the day off from work and I decided it was a perfect day to spend some time shopping and getting drinks with my best friend. We got dressed up, went to the local shops and headed to a local restaurant in downtown Corvallis. As soon as we got there, we put our name on the waiting list, and then my best friend bolted up the stairs to the rooftop patio, which was closed for the year. The hostess looks at me and goes “It’s okay – you can go with her” so I aimlessly walk up the staircase.
As I reach the top I see a row of candles lit connecting to candles lit in the shape of a heart. There he was, standing there smiling and holding a dozen roses. I walked up to him and I instantly broke into tears. He grabbed my hand and pulled me closer, then got down on one knee.
From that moment on I was in absolute awe and couldn’t believe what was happening. When I heard the words “Will you marry me?” my heart started racing. Of course I said yes – I can’t believe I get to spend the rest of my life with the love of my life.
