How We Met
We met back in 2013 when we were in high school working as a summer camp counselor at our local YMCA.
How They Asked
Little did she know, on February 8th, 2019 in a hotel room in Lake Tahoe, in front of the mountainous view, next to a beautiful bouquet of flowers, surrounded by chocolate-covered strawberries, champagne, and endless love, he would be kneeled down in front of her asking her to be his forever. Unbeknownst to her, he had been in contact with the jeweler for weeks on end, he had asked her father for permission to marry her and he had contacted the hotel to help transform their simple winter vacation into the beginning of the rest of their lives.
The hotel was set up prior to their arrival from their seven-hour flight and hour drive from the airport. Upon entering the hotel room, she immediately noticed the flowers and thought hmmm…how sweet that they offer complimentary roses, flowers, and champagne for the week of Valentine’s Day (as their stay was for February 8-15th). Her now-fiancé then asked her to look at a card located by the champagne but she was so mesmerized by the view of the mountains than with what he was saying. Little did she know that when she turned around, he was down on one knee! After they spent the entire week celebrating their engagement with just themselves, they let their closest family and friends (those who knew and didn’t) that they were about to spend the rest of their lives together 💍
