How We Met
When I was a senior in high school, my friends wanted to go to this “college party”. I never really went to parties in high school but for some reason I decided to go with my friends this time! The only thing was, I had a broken foot so I had a huge cast on my left leg! I drove my friends and when we got there, I crutched over to the couch to find myself a comfortable spot to sit for the night. Not even 5 minutes later Bradley walked in the door and my jaw dropped! He was the most handsome man I had ever seen! But of course, he walked right past me. I thought I had absolutely no chance at all! Eventually he approached me and ask what had happened to my foot. He proceeded to grab a Sharpie and write his number on the bottom of my cast. It was adorable. I think we both knew that there was something special about us the moment we met. It seemed as if we were the only 2 people at this party.
After about 3 years of a chase (I was stubborn and made him work for a date!) we finally ran into each other again at another party. Once again, it felt like we were the only 2 people there. Our chemistry was undeniable and that night I knew I would be spending the rest of my life with this person. The following week was my birthday and we still hadn’t even gone on a date yet. I got a text from Bradley telling me to check on my front porch for a gift. I opened the door to find a Build-A-Bear box! Inside was an adorable little stuffed animal husky puppy sprayed with his amazing smelling cologne. A couple of days later we went on our first date!
Bradley always joked that after all those years of the chase, all it took was a stuffed animal! Not confirming or denying that, but it definitely was a plus! And the rest is history!
how they asked
The proposal was nothing short of a fairytale! Bradley knows my love for wine and he got me a trip to Napa Valley for Christmas. We had heard so many great things about Napa and couldn’t wait to experience it for ourselves! We planned two full days of wine tasting and it was the most incredible time we have ever had! We visited HALL Wines, Grgich Hills, Cakebread Cellars, Silver Oak WInery, and Castello Di Amarosa! They were all incredible, but my personal favorite (for obvious reasons) was Castello Di Amarosa. I’m not kidding, this was a real life castle!
We did a full tour and tasting of the castle and after we tasted wine, we of course bought a few bottles! Bradley disappeared to take the wine to the car while my mom and I continued to taste wine and take in the beauty of the castle. I thought it was weird that he had disappeared for a little bit but I was so distracted by the beauty of Napa! Before I knew it, I ended up on a beautiful courtyard overlooking the hills of Napa. I looked to my right and Bradley was standing there in a suit with the biggest smile I’ve ever seen! I knew that this was the moment I had been waiting for since the moment we met. As I approached him, my eyes started tearing up (and so did his! shh.. I didn’t say that) and I just couldn’t wait for him to ask me the most important question I’ll ever be asked. After some very sweet words, he got down on one knee! Luckily our family was there to capture it all on video because I still relive that moment all the time. It was everything I had imagined and more!
