Alexia and Aaron

How We Met

Aaron and I first met when he transferred to my high school during our sophomore year. We remained friends till our senior year when he asked me to be his date to our homecoming (as friends). That night was the most fun we’ve had in a long time. Within the month, he asked me to be his girlfriend and successfully get out of the friend zone.

Marriage Proposal Ideas in East Beach, Santa Barbara

How They Asked

Aaron played off his plan to propose as a dinner date to celebrate the end of our last fall semester of college. He made the reservations and told me to wear my favorite dress. We were early for our reservations, so he suggested we go walk on the beach, which was across the way. We live right on the coast, so this is nothing out of the blue. We started walking on the shore like we always do, but this time was different. All of a sudden I see rose petals and champagne. I asked if that was for me and he jokingly replied “no”. We both laughed and the next thing I knew he was down on one knee asking me to marry him. It was everything I imagined and I can’t wait to marry my high school sweetheart.
