How We Met
Our story began in the Fall of 2013. Kyle and I met while working as after-school camp instructors. We quickly became friends after realizing we had a number of common interests and hobbies, with the most passionate of these being comics. In June of 2014, we started dating and embarked on many adventures such as the Renaissance Faire, Chicago Comic Con, and Door County, WI to name a few.

We were celebrating our fourth year together with Kyle’s mother and family in Door County in late July. Kyle was prepared to surprise me and pop the question when the time was right, so he carried the ring around all weekend! I had no clue! Kyle knew it was the perfect moment when we made it to our last stop in Door County at the Yum Yum Tree, a candy store and ice cream parlor. He set his eyes on a Ring Pop and jokingly asked me if it would suffice for the real thing.
I chuckled and said, “yes”, not knowing what he was planning! We grabbed our ice cream cones and headed down to the lake. We were sitting on a bench, relaxing and enjoying the view. Equipped with both the Ring Pop and the actual ring, Kyle asked me to marry him! It was a bit of a shock but of course, I excitedly answered “yes!” We are eager to bring our families and friends together to begin our next adventure in November of 2019!
