How We Met
In the beginning of 2017 I committed myself to do my first marathon in Honolulu at the end of the year. Roby has completed over a dozen marathons and running has always been a big part of our relationship. We would do 5Ks every now and then together but for the most part he was the runner and I was his water girl and cheerleader. So registering for the Honolulu Marathon was a big deal. Through my training he was there every step of the way, being my coach and my shoulder to lean on when we got home from a hard run and when I would start to doubt myself. Up until the gun went off at the start line he was there telling me that I could do this and no matter what just to have fun. At the last stretch to the finish line I was so excited to be finishing my race and Roby was there waiting for me. He put my medal around my neck, got down on one knee and pulled out the ring. I could not have asked for a better end to a major accomplishment that day. I got my medal and a little extra bling.
