how we met
Anthony and I have known each other since we were little kids. Our dads were raised together because our grandfathers were the best of friends. We went to school together from 4th grade until high school graduation in 2014. We dated for a bit in high school but ultimately parted ways before college. Well, in the summer of 2016 we got together to catch up and have been together ever since!
how they asked
A couple weeks before the proposal, I had booked a mini session with Lindsay Dawn Photography for February 8th at Hogback Ridge Park in Madison, OH. We just purchased our home in November and we thought this mini session would be perfect way to get family pictures of us and our dog for our living room. Little did I know, around the same time that I booked a mini session, Anthony was looking at rings! The ring was being handmade by a local jeweler so Anthony asked the jeweler to have it ready for Valentine’s Day. Well come Friday, February 7th, the jeweler called… the ring was ready early! Anthony then contacted Lindsay to see if he could swing a photographed proposal and she said, “DUH!” The day of the proposal, everything was completely normal. I had asked our friend Jay to come along so he could watch Juno while we were getting pictures of the two of us. Well, that worked perfectly with Anthony’s plan because he needed someone to tie a tag to Juno’s collar that said, “Momma, will you marry our roommate?” So, after Anthony and I had gotten a couple of pictures, Juno was sent to us for her close-up. When she got to us, Anthony noticed there was no tag on her collar! So he had to wing it and ask me himself.I can really say it was the best day of my life. I was filled with so much love, joy, excitement, and every other amazing word you can think of. We got engaged AND I planned the proposal without knowing!
