How We Met
September 12, 2012 is forever imprinted in my mind and on my heart. Although we went to High School together, it wouldn’t be until a few years later that our paths would cross. After a mutual friend had crashed on a motorcycle, we both ended up in the emergency room, where our story would begin. After acquiring my number because he wanted to do a Homeless Outreach with me [so tricky ;)], he began fervently pursuing my heart for weeks upon weeks. My favorite thing about him is that he doesn’t give up and I am forever thankful he took my endless “No’s” as nothing but a grain of salt. It wasn’t until a few months later that we started dating. Although we were newly dating, I didn’t want to give up on my dream of going to school…. 2,500 miles away from home. He was nothing but supportive and pushed me to pursue my dreams, promising me he would pursue me as long as I let him. 2.5 years of distance and we are finally living back in the same city of San Diego and continuing our love story… :)

It was a crisp but sunny Sunday morning, December 20th, 2015 that would richly enhance our lives for eternity. Just like any normal Sunday, we spent the morning at church. We enjoyed a nice lunch at the beach of Hotel Del in Coronado, California. As we were walking along the shoreline, he suddenly stopped. He pulled me in close and I could feel his heart beat as though it was outside of his chest. I thought he might have been cold, I was wrong. He told me he would always love me and he would never leave me. He promise to choose me everyday until death do us part. He got down on one knee and asked if I would marry him!! I was so surprised and caught off guard, I just remember asking him if this was real life. I would have no other answer but YES! Yes today and yes forever. He had hired a secret photographer who captured our most favorite moments. The surprises were not finished. He took me back to his parents house where I was susprised with a welcoming party with 50 of our closest friends and family showering us with love and support. That day could not have been more perfect.
