How We Met: Bryan and I have known each other since elementary school! We bumped into each other here and there and even took salsa lessons (yes, salsa lessons) together in middle school. In high school we remained friends and in college we went on a couple dates.
In 2012 we went on one last date before Bryan left to another city for work. Fast forward two years and we found ourselves sitting in a Starbucks, catching up on our lives and talking about medical nonsense. It wasn’t long before we went from talking about hearts to stealing each other’s.
how they asked: On March 6, 2015, we arrived at Disney World, accompanied by a couple of my friends and family members for (what I thought to be) my birthday trip. Bryan seemed to have had a suspicious interest in taking pictures in front of Cinderella’s Castle but I didn’t think much of it. Later on in the evening, Bryan told me to hold a spot to watch the fireworks while he left to grab a snack.
Upon returning, he grabbed my hand and told me he wanted to take one more picture in front of the Castle before the fireworks started. We walked over to the middle of Main Street where Bryan pointed out that his whole family was there! Before I could figure out what was going on, Bryan had gotten down on one knee and asked me to marry him.
Standing in the middle of what was truly the happiest place on Earth, I said yes!
