How We Met
Justin and I met back in 2014 during our first week of college at UCLA. We were introduced by one of his friends from home, and we hit it off instantly. He became one of my best friends. By the end of our junior year, we knew there was more to our friendship – the spark was undeniable! From then on we were attached at the hip, and the rest was history.
Fast forward a few years, and we now live together in Boston with our 3-year-old rescue cat, Tato, while Justin attends medical school!
How They Asked
This is the story of an ordinary Monday that turned into the best day of my life.
Justin and I had gone on a little date after work to a local brewery for a beer flight and some appetizers. We then went on a walk at the beach, something that we have enjoyed doing almost every afternoon since staying in Encinitas, CA with family. We paused to enjoy my favorite outlook in Justin’s hometown, chatting about the coastal houses and taking in the day’s beauty. All was normal, and then Justin got quiet and turned to me. Then, he got down on one knee and said:
“Alex I love you so much. I am so happy to have you in my life. We always have so much fun together, and I want to spend the rest of my life with you! Alexandra, will you marry me?”
Thank goodness I had a railing to hold onto, because WOW I was in complete shock!
The people around us began cheering, and then I noticed his sister jump out of the bushes with her camera to capture the picture-perfect moment. The proposal was absolutely beautiful and intimate. It perfectly represented our relationship, and I couldn’t have asked for a better moment to start our lifetime of love together. I cannot wait to marry my best friend!
