How We Met
We met in high school when I was 15, Zach was two years older than me, so he was a senior when I was a sophomore. I had seen him in the halls before and thought he was SO cute. He DM’d me on Twitter one day while I was at my friend’s house and I could not be more excited.
We started hanging out more and more and he quickly became my very best friend. We’ve been together ever since—7.5 years!!
How They Asked
We got engaged on July 25th! I thought we were meeting his work friends for lunch at Glenmere Mansion because one of his coworkers is the Director of Events there and was able to get us in for a nice lunch since the place is usually exclusive to members to book a room. When we got to the mansion and walked outside he turned to me and said that he had been lying to me for weeks, but he only did it because I was the love of his life, best friend and he wanted to spend the rest of his life with me.
Then he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him (I said yes obviously)! Then all of a sudden a photographer came out who was capturing the entire moment behind the bushes and my family and best friends came running out from around the corner!
Once we all finished hugging, they walked me around the corner to where a beautiful table was set up so we could all enjoy the afternoon together and celebrate our engagement with the people we love most. I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect proposal (or man)—he made my Pinterest board come to life!
