How We Met

Our ♥ story began just a few years back on the sales floor of Carnival Cruise Lines. We were both working as Personal Vacation Planners. Since then we’ve had the opportunity to grow closer to God and each other. Carnival has been part of so many beautiful memories for us. The Carnival Vista was witness to our first cruise vacation together as a couple. Carnival Victory will always be near and dear to our ♥ as she was the host to our engagement. So was only fitting that we wanted to seal our love with Carnival by our side. We were ecstatic to be celebrating our wedding on board Carnival Horizon this summer. However the pandemic had other plan, but when one door closed two more open. Although we weren’t able time the knot on board a fun ship we had an amazing wedding right at home in Florida.

How They Asked

When your boyfriend calls you in the morning and asks if you want to go on a cruise this weekend you answer with “do you want me to pack you bags too?” Lol. Well that’s how it started, a last minute cruise to the Bahamas on board a fun ship. I had previously mentioned to him that I’d like to wake up early one day and go to the beach and see sunrise. I had lived in Florida for a few years and hadn’t actually had the opportunity to do that. The first morning on the ship he woke me up right at the crack of dawn and called me out onto the balcony so that we could see the sunrise together. He let me enjoy it, but just as the sun in all its glory lit up the whole sky he taped my back and their he was on one knee. I was so emotional I didn’t actually say the words yes, but I definitely nodded yes. To this day he jokingly sporadically asks me to marry him because he never got the verbal yes.
