How We Met
Jason and I met at church and were encouraged by mutual friends to get to know one another better. We dated for a year and a half before he asked!
how they asked
After work, Jason came to pick me up for dinner. We drove towards the restaurant when he told me he forgot his wallet. We turned around and headed back to my house where he parked in the subdivision just beyond my neighbour’s backyard (my neighbours are my best friend’s parents). We walked up towards their property and when we got to their backyard I saw a beautiful table set for two!
Jason had our friend, Carlo, serve us a delicious meal made my best friend’s lovely mom, Sandy.
After dinner, Jason handed me a copy of J.K. Rowling’s Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince and asked if I would like to order anything off the wine menu. But when I opened the book, there was no wine menu inside it! Instead, I found this…
Jason then got down on one knee and asked me to be his wife! I thought it was the perfect proposal but what made it even better was that our dear friend and incredible photographer, Chance Faulkner, was hiding in the bushes nearby snapping photos and capturing the whole proposal on camera! He was wearing camouflage from head to toe!
This is us after Jason pointed out Chance’s hiding place!
Chance took some awesome engagement photos for us too!
We then headed up towards the house where my friend’s parents lived and were greeted by a bunch of smiling faces!
The celebrations lasted well into the evening! It was the best way to end to the best proposal :)
