How We Met
Adam and I met on my first day of junior year at Allatoona high school. I had just transferred to a new school and he was the first friend I made! From then on he always flirted with me and I knew he liked me, but I was just interested in staying friends. He became my best friend and stuck by my side for 5 years.. One night we were hanging out and he sat me down and told me that he’s in love with me and has been since the day we met 5 years prior. He asked me if there was any chance we could be together, and if there wasn’t, he didn’t think he could hang out with me anymore because it was too painful for him. I told him I would think about it, and after a couple days of thinking, I realized that I did care for him and I didn’t want to lose him. May 12, 2014 we became an official couple and have been inseparable ever since!

I was in the chorus when I was in high school and my friend who was also in the chorus with me texted me and said the high school was having an alumni night and wanted alumni from chorus to come sing the national anthem with them before the football game. I told my boyfriend Adam about it and he encouraged me to go sing. So I went, and right before we sang the national anthem, Adam comes up to me and says he was talking to a teacher we use to have and she made us “fans of the game” and that we would get free concession stand food. Naturally, I was ecstatic about the free food part. So I went and sang and then Adam comes out on the field and we stand there while the announcer says we are the “fans of the game” and then the principle takes our picture.
Right when they finished speaking I immediately started to leave because I was embarrassed to be out there in front of everyone, and then Adam grabs my arm and as I turn around he gets down on one knee and pulls out a ring.
The whole stadium started screaming and I was so shocked and so happy!!!! I said yes, we kissed and then the announcer says “she said yes everybody!” My fiancé and I met at this high school so that is why it was sentimental for us!
