How We Met
We met in college, we knew each other for almost a year before starting to date! I had the biggest crush on him for the longest time! We went on a hiking trip in Helen on March 28, 2018, and have been dating for a year and 9 months. On March 28, 2020, we will be married on the mountain where we went on our first date!
How They Asked
We went to Gatlinburg Tn with 6 of our friends and went up on the Skybridge that goes over the town. When going up the ski lift to the top I asked Peter what he would do if he dropped something valuable and he said climb back up this mountain and get it (I had no clue he had a ring with him) he later told me when I said that all he could think about was what if his boot falls off and the ring too. Once we made it to the top and When we started to walk out on the bridge I said to peter how cool it would be if someone got engaged out here, with all the Christmas lights it was beautiful.
So not even 5 minutes later when we got to the middle of the bridge he got down on one knee to ask me to be his wife, and I thought it was a joke since I had just said that at the beginning of the bridge and he has been known to play jokes in the past! Once I saw there was a real ring in his boot I couldn’t believe it was actually happening and that I get to marry my bestfriend, and that all of our close friends were there to celebrate with us. It couldn’t have been planned any better.
